CD4 Update - July 12, 2010

Ramsey County Fair 
We have a few gaps in the volunteer schedule for the booth that we are looking for people to help fill.  The Fair is free and parking is only $2 (we may have limited free parking passes), so it is a great way to get a taste of the State Fair a month early!

Here are the gaps we are looking to fill:
Thursday, July 15    5:00 - 9:00pm
Friday, July 16  6:00 - 10:00pm  (there are fireworks this evening!)
Saturday, July 17  12:00 - 3:00pm and 6:00 - 9:00pm
Sunday, July 18   12:00 - 9:30pm
 
We ask for folks to take at least a 2 hour shift, and would like to have 2 people at the booth.  Please email Melissa at mjamrock@gmail.com if you can help.
 

Rondo Days 
Hello all,

St. Paul’s Rondo Days is fast approaching and we want to be sure Margaret, Betty, and our great team of DFL-endorsed candidates make a strong showing at this event to build momentum heading into the August 10th primary! Can you come and bring a friend or family member? This is one of the most fun events of the summer and Margaret and Betty will be marching in this parade! Please RSVP to to Matt Nelson (contact information below) if you are interested.

The Parade will take place on Saturday July 17 at 10AM. Line up will begin at 8AM on Central Ave between Lexington Ave and Oxford St in St. Paul. 

We are also looking for people to staff the DFL booth during the festival for the following times on Saturday:
12PM-2PM
2PM-4PM
4PM-6PM

July 19th Meeting Reminder
The next meeting of the CD4 Central Committee will be on Monday, July 19 at 7:00pm.  The meeting will be held at the Sun Ray Library in St. Paul.


We will be holding elections for the following positions (which were not filled at the 2010 CD4 Convention):
1.  Affirmative Action Commission Delegate - Female
2.  Platform Commission Delegate - Female
3.  Constitution Commission Alternate - Male
4.  Constitution Commission Alternate - Female
5.  Platform Commission Alternate - Male


There will also likely be requests for expenditures for the 2010 Vento Dinner.
